Nitec Solutions Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual, with a strong desire for development and problem-solving, with a particular interest in a full stack web system development role.

This role is suitable for a high performing Software Developer 1 wanting to progress in their career, or a current Senior Software Developer seeking a new challenge.

This role is based at our office in Antrim and is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (up to 4 days from home). This is NOT a remote working role.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

We are unable to facilitate relocation for this role, applicants must be based in Northern Ireland, or be in the process of relocating with confirmed residency within the next 2 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, building and maintaining high performing, flexible and scalable software solutions.
• Interacting with stakeholders to understand software requirements and provide solutions.
• Development of web-based data management systems.
• Translating stakeholder requirements into an understandable format for coders.
• Mentoring team members and assisting them with coding questions.
• Solving issues within your own software and occasionally others' software.
• Working independently on complex software development issues.
• Delivering highly technical solutions, that are user-centric.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver software solutions.
• Optimising code for speed, scalability, and security.
• Attending meetings and training as required.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate should have:

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Software Developer/Software Developer 1 OR 2 years as a Senior Software Developer/Software Developer 2.
• Experience in delivering high quality software design and architecture.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Experience in C# and ReactJS.
• Experience in cloud services.
• Experienced in Source Control via Git.

Preferred:

The following qualifications are preferred:

• Level 4 qualification or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or any other related discipline.
• Previous experience working in an MSP.
• Professional Certifications, such as Azure Developer Associate, AWS Certified Developer, and similar.
• Experience in Azure.
• Experience managing high-traffic environments.
