EditShare is seeking a highly talented Senior Software Engineer to join one of our scrum teams to build new features across EditShare’s suite of Media Asset Management products. This is a remote position within the UK (hybrid in Basingstoke if you prefer).

Responsibilities

• As a member of the EditShare EMEA R&D team, design and develop film & television software applications that incorporate advanced components.
• Work on all stages of product development from design to implementation within one of our scrum teams.
• Learn the product, codebase, and processes; contribute to existing code and write tests; perform code reviews in GitHub.
• Collaborate with the scrum team and Product Owner to plan, develop new features; deliver and demo components; reflect on and improve codebase and processes.
• Help build AI offerings by leveraging the latest technologies and delivering sustainable, repeatable solutions.

• C++ programming
• Structured, object-oriented design and programming techniques
• Multi-threaded, multi-process, distributed systems
• Multimedia programming (codecs, containers)
• Video / Audio standards and protocols
• Qt framework
• JSON
• REST APIs
• MySQL
• Linux, OSX and Windows operating systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with distributed teams
• General broadcast industry experience
