Our client is a global technology business developing next-generation data management solutions for the energy sector. They’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their in-house product team, working on a major initiative that’s redefining how complex data is handled across geoscience applications.

This role offers real ownership and visibility. You’ll join a small, collaborative team responsible for the full product lifecycle, from architecture to delivery, with freedom to influence technical direction and shape a high-impact solution used globally.

The role

  • Build backend services using Go and C#, contributing to a modular, service- and event-driven architecture
  • Work with distributed messaging systems, RESTful APIs, and modern frontend frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular)
  • Manage relational databases (SQL Server, SQLite, PostgreSQL) and support data visualisation through dashboards and web interfaces
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and participate in defining authentication and access control strategies
  • Collaborate closely with a small team of developers and testers to deliver scalable, high-performance systems

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience in software development
  • Strong backend experience, ideally with exposure to modern frontend frameworks
  • Skilled in at least one modern programming language (Go, C#, Python, etc.)
  • Confident with relational databases and understanding of database design and optimisation
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven design
  • Familiar with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
  • Enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and taking ownership of delivery

What’s on offer

  • Work in a forward-thinking, inclusive environment that values innovation and autonomy
  • Join a highly skilled team passionate about technology and collaboration
  • Opportunities for career growth through mentorship, training, and certification programmes
  • Flexible and supportive work culture promoting work-life balance
  • The chance to make a genuine impact on a globally significant product

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and work on a technically exciting, meaningful project, we’d love to hear from you.
