A leading IT Service Provider in central London, who provide solutions across Connectivity, Cloud, Communications & Cyber are looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to join their Public Sector team.

In this client-facing role, you’ll work closely with sales, engineering, and bid teams to design innovative and secure connectivity solutions – with a particular focus on Wide Area Networks, High-Level Designs (HLD), and public sector compliance standards.

You’ll engage early in the sales cycle, helping define and shape solutions that address the technical, commercial, and regulatory needs of Central & Local Government, Healthcare, Education, and other public sector verticals.

You’ll bring strong technical expertise in network protocols and architecture, paired with commercial acumen and a knack for communicating complex solutions to stakeholders at all levels. If you're passionate about delivering best-in-class solutions in a meaningful sector – this is your next move.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative and secure connectivity solutions with a focus on WAN, HLD, and public sector compliance.
• Engage early in the sales cycle to define solutions addressing technical, commercial, and regulatory needs of public sector clients (Central & Local Government, Healthcare, Education, etc.).
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and bid teams to translate requirements into effective network solutions.
• Produce network diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and design documentation (Visio, Word, Project).
• Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels, including C-level.

Key Skills

• Strong experience in High-Level Design (HLD) for WAN and networking solutions
• Expertise in networking protocols: VPLS, MPLS, BGP, VRRP, IGRP
• Proven pre-sales and client interaction skills, including presenting to C-level stakeholders
• Familiarity with public sector environments (e.g. PSN, HSCN, JANET)
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and security – Juniper (SRX/EX), Cisco platforms
• Experience with network diagrams, BOMs, and design documentation (Visio, Word, Project)
• Understanding of LAN/WLAN, cloud architectures, and security solutions is a plus
