With a strong reputation for delivering innovative solutions on prestigious residential developments across the UK, this role offers the chance to work on an impressive portfolio of projects ranging from high-end bespoke homes to large-scale multi-unit schemes, with some individual properties valued at up to £20 million. You will be involved in bringing ambitious architectural visions to life, tackling unique structural challenges, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and build quality. Responsibilities

1. Deliver structural design and analysis for a diverse portfolio of residential projects, from luxury one-off homes to large-scale multi-storey developments
2. Collaborate closely with leading architects and developers to achieve structurally sound, aesthetically ambitious designs
3. Produce and review detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports using industry-standard software
4. Apply creative problem-solving to overcome challenging site conditions, heritage building constraints, and complex architectural features
5. Ensure all designs comply with Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant building regulations
6. Participate in site visits, inspections, and client meetings to monitor progress and resolve on-site issues
7. Contribute to sustainable and innovative design solutions, balancing performance, cost-efficiency, and environmental impact

Requirements

1. Proven experience delivering structural engineering projects within the UK residential sector, ideally including large-scale developments and bespoke high-value homes
2. Ability to work independently when required while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary design teams
3. Chartered status (MIStructE or MICE) preferred; fast-track support to achieving chartership will be provided if not already attained
4. Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software such as AutoCAD and Revit
5. Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and current UK building regulations
6. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with architects, developers, and clients at all levels
8. A track record of problem-solving on challenging architectural designs and site constraints
9. Commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable structural solutions without compromising safety or quality

Salary & Benefits

• £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and chartership status
