Company: The Boeing Company

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior System and Data Analyst to join the team in Kent, WA; Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; or Auburn, WA.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join the Kit Integration Tracking Systems (KITS) team based out of Puget Sound in a hybrid capacity. You will be part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented Information Technology (IT) team responsible for critical kitting and manufacturing processes that track commodity kits from arrival at the Material Integration Center, through utilization at point of use, to return logistics.

You will collaborate with business and IT teams to assess and improve existing KITS implementations and guide new programs and users to shape future deployments. You will analyze requirements, processes, systems, and data to produce functional and non-functional specifications, consult with business and IT stakeholders, and validate system behavior through the creation of test plans. Success in this role requires strong leadership, collaboration, analytical, and communication skills.

Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as an experienced systems and data analyst for KITS: elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements across manufacturing support, fulfillment, and logistics stakeholders across Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Fabrication
  • Facilitate team collaboration meetings and sessions to demonstrate completed user stories, review new user stories, clarify requirements, and obtain consensus across business and IT organizations
  • Maintain and prioritize the Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog (user stories, acceptance criteria) and run backlog grooming with cross-functional teams
  • Translate requirements into functional and non-functional specifications and produce traceable acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to clarify user needs and internal customer expectations
  • Conduct gap and process analysis to identify process and system improvements; recommend and document solution options
  • Perform data analysis to validate business rules, produce test datasets to identify insights and improve system performance
  • Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate system behavior; support incident triage and root-cause analysis for business-impacting failures and convert findings into corrective requirements
  • Capture tribal knowledge, maintain runbooks and documentation, and mentor stakeholders on system behavior and accepted processes
  • Support monthly production release activities (held on Saturday evenings, once per month) and support release-related testing validation and coordination
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices; translate those into practical improvements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years of experience with researching and analyzing processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design
  • 5+ years of experience with software development in Agile methodology
  • 5+ years of experience leading sessions to review and document business processes
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Experience in translating use cases into technical requirements, and vice versa

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience with manufacturing and quality business processes
  • Experience navigating enterprise databases and extracting transactional data using SQL and ad-hoc query tools to validate business rules, build test data sets, and support root-cause analysis
  • Experience with handheld scanner workflows and constraints and how those affect UI/UX and error handling
  • Experience with analyzing complex processes and communicating effectively across diverse stakeholders, both business and IT
  • Experience with engaging diverse teams, asking targeted questions, and clearly documenting outcomes
  • Experience with written and verbal communication, including presenting findings and requirements to business and technical audiences with clarity and attention to detail
