Salary: £46,000 – £52,000 + package

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technology Engineer to join their team in the Operational Control Division. As a Senior Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in the identification and evaluation of technology asset-specific needs and early solutions, while ensuring adherence to defined asset policies and standards.
Note: You will be required to drive as part of your role. You must have no more than 3 points on your driving license to be considered for this position and during employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop early solutions for improvements and renewals, including compiling relevant documents, evidence, and options for value management, considering new techniques, materials, buildability, and costs.
- Assist regional delivery teams in improving task briefs, survey approaches, and developing standardised technology scheme designs and equipment packs to support asset renewal and improvement.
- Develop and maintain the national roadside technology programme, including scheme development, tracking outputs and expenditure, and managing change control submissions affecting the national programme.
- Provide technical support to Project Managers, Business Partners, and Equipment Manufacturers, sharing best practices across regions.
- Review third-party designs for compliance with design and maintenance standards.
- Undertake feasibility studies, investigations, and research to develop innovative solutions.
About You:
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, member of a relevant professional body, with appropriate experience.
- Degree or HND in a related discipline with relevant experience, or equivalent.
- Experience with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations.
- Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and their application on the highways network.
