Due to continued growth and increasing project demand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Tendering Engineer to lead the preparation of high-quality technical and commercial proposals, ensuring solutions meet client requirements and contribute to business success.

Location: North England (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £60,000 (+ benefits)
Position: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for medium and high voltage power equipment, protection systems, and smart energy solutions.
- Review tender documents and customer enquiries to understand requirements from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Develop budgetary and firm bids, including cost estimates, delivery schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Work with procurement teams to ensure accurate specifications and competitive pricing.
- Review bid outcomes to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate across engineering, sales, procurement, and project management to ensure accurate costings, risk assessments, and effective delivery strategies.
- Support internal bid review and approval processes, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial standards.
Qualifications
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience (~ 5 years) with medium to high voltage switchgear in a relevant sector, such as energy, utilities, oil & gas, or other industrial environments.
- Familiarity with protection systems, including specifying relays, CTs, VTs, and auxiliary switchgear.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with high levels of stakeholder interaction.
- Experience interfacing with DNOs, ICPs, and EPC contractors is desirable.
