Senior Travel Designer – Asia Pacific
Our client is a fast‑growing luxury travel company that specialises in worldwide bespoke travel itineraries. They create unforgettable tours focused on personalised design, authentic experiences and responsible travel. Due to growth, they are now seeking a Senior Travel Designer to join their Asia Pacific team, featuring grand tours and trips across Australia, Cambodia, Borneo, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bali, Thailand, China, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Fiji, etc.
Candidates must have previous travel sales experience selling the region and be required to have travelled extensively, gaining first‑hand product knowledge of Asia and Australasia, a vested interest in the culture and people, and an interest in responsible travel. Our client has created an inclusive and diverse working environment, will provide training, and implement a structured career growth plan. This is a hybrid role with the office based in London. Responsibilities
- Communicating with discerning guests by phone, video call and email to gain a comprehensive understanding of their travel needs, interests and passions.
- Curating bespoke itineraries to suit each individual guest personally, seeking to include sustainable, one‑of‑a‑kind hotels and excursions and following responsible travel practices.
- Cultivating connections and building rapport with guests before, during and after travel to increase repeat business and referrals.
Experience Required
- Extensive first‑hand personal travel knowledge within the Asia Pacific region.
- A deep care for the region and extensive knowledge through first‑hand experience.
- A passion for responsible travel.
- A curious and genuine people‑person enthusiastic about forging long‑lasting relationships with guests.
- Listening and consideration of others’ opinions and ideas – both guests and colleagues.
- Open‑mindedness and a keen desire to learn.
Salary and Benefits
- Base salary of £34,000, OTE £50,000 to £80,000.
- Guaranteed commission of £47,000 for the first 7 months.
