We’re representing a leading AJ100 practice with a reputation for delivering some of the UK’s most ambitious housing, regeneration, and mixed use projects. With a strong pipeline of estate regeneration and large-scale masterplans, they’re looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join their London studio and take a lead role on high profile schemes shaping communities across the UK.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the design and delivery of UK housing led masterplans and regeneration projects.
  • Driving planning application submissions, including design access statements, design codes, feasibility studies, and community engagement.
  • Managing and mentoring junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Taking a hands-on approach to design while also steering project strategy.

What you’ll bring

  • An architectural background with a postgraduate qualification in urban design or related field.
  • Strong track record in UK housing and regeneration projects, with portfolios that demonstrate leadership on planning applications and design codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in client-facing and community consultation settings.
  • Advanced design and graphic ability using Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD (Revit a bonus).
  • A collaborative, proactive approach, with the ability to balance creativity and technical rigour.
