We are looking for an experienced Senior VAT Manager to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping VAT compliance and advisory services across multiple jurisdictions, working with a diverse portfolio of internal stakeholders and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Oversee VAT compliance and reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Provide technical VAT advice on transactions, contracts, and strategic projects.
- Manage VAT audits, HMRC enquiries, and disclosures.
- Lead VAT accounting processes, including reconciliations and journal preparation.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Onboard new entities into VAT compliance processes, including non-UK jurisdictions.
- Develop and mentor junior team members, providing technical training and guidance.
About You
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in VAT compliance and advisory roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of VAT legislation and ability to apply it pragmatically.
- Skilled in VAT return preparation, filings, and VAT accounting.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience (Oracle, SAP desirable).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver in complex, fast-paced environments.
