Developmental Warranty Underwriter – EU Markets

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Warranty Business Development Underwriter to drive the growth of an EU warranty portfolio. While the position is UK/London-market based, the focus will be firmly on EU warranty business (not UK warranty business). This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility between market-facing activity, office presence, and remote working.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow the EU warranty underwriting portfolio, focusing on scalable and profitable opportunities.
• Originate, structure, and underwrite warranty business across a range of product lines, including:
• Phones, gadgets, and consumer electronics
• Electrical goods and small domestic appliances (SDA)
• Home assistance and roadside assistance
• Embedded and opt-in warranty solutions
• Build and maintain strong broker and distribution relationships in the London and wider UK market, with a view to expanding EU market presence.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategy, product development, and pricing initiatives.
• Leverage your existing portfolio of relationships and risks to deliver measurable premium growth.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines deep underwriting expertise with a strong business development mindset:

• At least 5+ years’ experience in warranty underwriting and business development.
• Currently employed by a large carrier or a large to mid-size MGA specialising in warranty.
• Proven track record of originating and underwriting warranty products with a demonstrable portfolio of risks and premiums.
• Established network in the London/UK insurance market, with the ability to bring or attract quality business.
• Entrepreneurial, commercially astute, and motivated by building something with real growth potential.
