Job Summary

The Senior Workday Analyst is responsible for leading the configuration, optimisation, and ongoing support of our Workday tenant across all modules, including HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Learning, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, and Peakon. Acting as a subject matter expert, the role ensures system integrity, delivers enhancements, and provides strategic guidance to maximise the value of Workday for the business. This role supports both day-to-day operational needs and long-term improvements, driving automation, user experience, and data quality across the platform.

The role is required to work a minimum of 4 days in the office with the option to work 1 day from home per week.
Salary circa £70,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Workday functional lead, managing configuration, reporting, integrations, and security across all modules.
  • Provide expert support for business processes, annual HR cycles (performance reviews, succession planning, compensation events, benefits enrolment), and Workday releases.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver improvements.
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyse root causes, and provide resolutions.
  • Build and optimise Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support business decision-making.
  • Manage integrations with third-party systems, monitoring data flows and addressing errors.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance automation, and improve the employee experience.
  • Partner with AMS consultants when required, ensuring best practice solutions are implemented.
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the HR and Payroll teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on Workday experience across multiple modules, ideally including HCM, Absence, Recruiting, Learning, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, and Peakon.
  • Proven track record in configuring Workday business processes, reports, dashboards, and security.
  • Experience supporting annual HR business events.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into data‑driven insights.
  • Knowledge of Workday integrations and troubleshooting issues with third‑party systems.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, with clear communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience leading enhancements and driving user experience improvements.
  • Proactive mindset, with a focus on process efficiency and system optimisation.
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative, with a willingness to mentor others and share knowledge.
