Senior/Middle Ruby on Rails Developer (Remote)

A leading U.S.-based edtech company is looking for a Middle Ruby on Rails Developer to join their fully remote team. The platform helps educational institutions manage and distribute digital learning materials, from e-textbooks to interactive courseware. The company is known for its advanced e-reader, AI-powered study tools and seamless integrations with major learning management systems. Solutions are used by thousands of schools and universities, helping students save on textbooks and other materials.

Responsibilities

• Participation in all aspects of the application development life cycle, including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance, deployment and operations
• Development and modification of internal and external software as part of a team of engineers
• Checking work in practice and using automated tests
• Supporting the day-to-day work of the team, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
• 3+ years of application and API development experience
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
• Experience with Git or other source code control systems
• Working hours: 12:00-20:00 (GMT+2, Kyiv time)
• B2B cooperation is mandatory
• Ukrainian/Russian C1+
• English B2+

Nice to have: Knowledge of modern web development technologies: PHP, JavaScript, REST web services, MySQL
