PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT – £55,000 to £70,000 + Benefits – Cheshire

An award-winning acoustic consultancy is looking for a driven and experienced PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT to join its growing team in Cheshire. This is a prime opportunity for a commercially aware and technically strong PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT to lead projects across building acoustics, environmental noise, and infrastructure development.

As a PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT, you’ll take the lead on major developments, offering expert guidance from concept to delivery. You’ll manage client relationships, support strategic growth, and mentor junior team members across varied sectors, including residential, commercial, and transport planning.

We’re looking for a PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT with:

• 7+ years of experience in acoustic consultancy

• Proven track record in building acoustics and/or environmental noise

• Strong understanding of BS8233, BB93, BS4142, and planning guidance

• Proficiency in software such as CadnaA, ODEON, or SoundPLAN

• Confidence managing clients, budgets, and delivery timelines

• A relevant degree in Acoustics, Physics, or Engineering

• Chartered status or working toward it

• Full UK driving licence

This Cheshire-based role offers a £55,000 to £70,000 salary, hybrid working, private healthcare, pension, CPD funding, and a direct path to Associate or Director level roles.
