Overview

Service Architect – Remote, UK wide. Robert Walters is seeking a Service Architect to join as an employed Consultant. You will be deployed on an interim or project basis into clients’ organisations, with ongoing training and professional accreditations provided.

The successful candidate will join our clients’ CTO team. This is a delivery-focused, hands-on role supporting the execution of Service Design activities across IT change projects. The Service Architect designs and assures the end-to-end service architecture for new and changing IT services.

Responsibilities

• Design and assure end-to-end service architecture for new and changing IT services
• Ensure services are scalable, supportable, and aligned with business outcomes
• Embed service management principles throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Coordinate stakeholders, document service requirements, and ensure readiness tasks are completed and evidenced for audit
• Work with the Service Design Lead and other teams to ensure services are designed upfront with appropriate governance to meet Service Acceptance Criteria
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, work independently, and provide regular progress updates
• Influence and collaborate across technical, operational, and business teams
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, including CXO level where applicable

Essential Experience / Skills

• Delivery-focused mindset with proactive task ownership
• Confidence in working with stakeholders and coordinating across teams
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with ITIL and Service Management Processes
• Experience in IT service delivery, transition, or support coordination roles
• Experience in designing IT Services within an IT team
• Project Transition Management
• Stakeholder Management
• Understanding of IT frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO/IEC 20000-1
• Experience in a Service Delivery function
• Ability to operate across all levels of the organisation, including CXO level
