SYR is representing a pioneering maritime technology start-up, delivering the world's first real-time anchor monitoring system. Our solution makes anchoring safer, more sustainable, and proactive by providing intelligence that previously did not exist.
We are now seeking a Service Technician to strengthen our field operations and technical support - a role critical to our growth and customer success.
Responsibilities
- As our Service Technician, you will be the technical backbone supporting:
- Sales Team - Assist with technical documentation, pre-sales consultations, and demos
- Installers - Support installation partners during deployments of the AnchorGuardian system
- Customer Support (Level 2) - Troubleshoot complex issues escalated from first-line support
- Training - Conduct onboarding and technical training for distributors and partners
- Collaborate with R&D to feed field insights back into product development
- Participate in international installations, sea trials, and pilot programs
Qualifications
- Maritime background or strong interest - ideally a former Chief Engineer or similar
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a technical, hands-on role
- Fluent English (spoken & written); Italian, French, or Spanish a strong plus
- Skilled in CAD design (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- You take initiative and ownership without waiting for direction
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; customer-facing experience preferred
- Familiarity with marine electronics, experience with marine electronics, sensors, or system integration (NMEA etc.) is a strong plus
- Comfortable with mechanical installations or working with marine equipment on-site
- Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally beyond
- Location: Remote (preferred base in the Mediterranean region)
- EU citizenship required (legal work eligibility in the EU)
