Role Description

This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Ship Scientist/​Naval Architect located in the Greater Guildford Area, United Kingdom, with some work‑from‑home flexibility. The Ship Scientist/​Naval Architect will be responsible for designing and analysing ship structures, developing innovative marine and offshore solutions, conducting marine analysis, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role also includes project engineering and management tasks to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Ship Design, Naval Architecture, and Structural Design
• Experience in Marine Analysis, FOW, and Floating System Design
• Project engineering and project management experience
• Proficiency in the use of CAD software and maritime design tools
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the marine and offshore industry is a plus
