Role Overview

Are you a creative powerhouse who lives and breathes social media? Can you craft trend-aware content that drives engagement, builds community, and converts?

We're looking for a Social Media & Content Manager who is a strategic thinker, video editing wizard, graphic design guru, AI workflow optimizer, and trend-spotter all rolled into one. You'll take full ownership of our social media and brand presence across multiple channels.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with our Marketing Director, who is committed to helping you grow. We're looking for someone willing to learn fast, take feedback, and level up quickly in a high-growth environment.

Location: In-house role based in Bournemouth, 5 days per week in office. Open to hybrid work for exceptional candidates located outside of Dorset.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Content Production

  • Create, edit, and publish 3-4 pieces of polished content daily across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Shoot and edit short-form video using CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro
  • Design graphics using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva
  • Develop content pillars that drive engagement and meet KPIs

TikTok Creator Program & Performance Marketing

  • Manage creator partnerships, spark codes, and performance tracking
  • Handle back-end management of TikTok and Meta advertising platforms daily
  • Coordinate creator seeding campaigns and leverage UGC
  • Understand how organic content ties into paid strategy

Email Campaign Management

  • Schedule and manage campaigns using existing flows and automation
  • Coordinate email with social campaigns for cohesive messaging
  • Monitor performance and optimize subject lines, content, and CTAs

AI Tools & Workflow Optimization

  • Leverage AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, etc.) to enhance speed and quality
  • Test latest AI developments weekly and integrate into workflows
  • Use AI for ideation, copywriting, image generation, and video enhancement

Multi-Market Content & Conversion Focus

  • Create content that resonates across UK, US, and Australian markets
  • Craft attention-grabbing hooks and problem-solution storytelling
  • Design strategic CTAs that drive conversions
  • Monitor trends daily and adapt to My Carry Potty's brand voice

Campaign Execution & Operations

  • Work with Marketing Director to plan and execute multi-platform campaigns
  • Coordinate launches across social, email, and paid ads
  • Complete tasks independently and troubleshoot issues proactively

Must-Have Skills

Core Competencies

  • Proven track record managing social for a D2C brand (parenting/lifestyle/product space preferred)
  • Advanced video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro) with strong portfolio
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Hands-on experience with AI content tools and willingness to experiment with emerging platforms
  • ESP experience (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Meta and TikTok advertising platforms
  • Understanding of consumer psychology and conversion-focused copywriting
