Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking 6 exceptional Advanced Practitioners to join our Children and Families Social Care Team . This is a fantastic opportunity for confident, skilled professionals with a passion for practice leadership , quality assurance , and mentoring others to deliver the highest standards of social work.

About the Role:

As an Advanced Practitioner , you will:

• Offer practice leadership and support to less experienced social workers.
• Manage a complex caseload while modelling excellent social work practice .
• Contribute to quality assurance , audit activities , and service development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and multi-agency partners to safeguard and support vulnerable children and their families.
• Play a pivotal role in embedding reflective, evidence-based practice across the team.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified social worker , registered with Social Work England .
• Minimum three years post-qualifying experience in statutory children's services.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and provide practice guidance to others.
• Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills.
• Two detailed, practice-based references are required prior to engagement, using the standard agency reference template.
• Submission must include a completed declaration form from the candidate’s agency.
