As a Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions in multi-domain simulation and training environments. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to translate complex business needs into robust technical architectures, integrating software, simulation products, and cyber infrastructures. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership with strategic vision, allowing you to influence system design, guide development, and shape innovative solutions. You will represent technical excellence to stakeholders at all levels while working in a dynamic, agile environment focused on advanced training and operational solutions.
Accountabilities
- Provide technical leadership across delivery and business development teams, supporting proposals, projects, and technical queries.
- Lead end‑to‑end solution definition, including requirements gathering, architectural design, implementation, testing, documentation, and supportability.
- Integrate and develop products with customer simulation systems and real-world platforms.
- Offer engineering expertise in planning, designing, costing, and implementing innovative solutions.
- Conduct technical demonstrations, participate in trade shows, workshops, webinars, and internal/external training sessions.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computing, or Mathematics.
- 5+ years of experience in technical roles involving software design, integration, and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) systems for training, test, evaluation, and experimentation.
- Deep understanding of modeling, simulation, and training technologies, distributed simulation standards (DIS, HLA, DDS, JSP939), and cyber infrastructures.
- Proficiency in software development life cycle, microservices, API design, and DevOps practices/tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, including technical writing and proposal development.
- Flexibility to operate effectively in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience leading technical responses to customer proposals and costing innovative solutions.
- Hands‑on experience in simulation system integration and advanced software architectures.
