The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications and solutions that align with our business objectives and enhance user experience.
You will work as part of a team on an emerging product to support the Worldline Mobility Marketplace that provides a platform for consumers to access and pay for integrated transport services across major cities for their end-to-end travel, involving multiple modes of transport such as bus, rail, taxis, e-scooters and e-bikes etc. The product is already in use in the UK and has plans to expand into European travel in the coming months.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Build user-friendly web applications using Svelte, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, ensuring a seamless and responsive experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate deployments and streamline the development workflow.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision and manage AWS resources efficiently.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure code quality and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and enhance functionality.
- Take part in Agile Sprint meetings (planning, review, retro).
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what's next - people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- You can design, develop, and deploy scalable applications that provide a seamless user experience across both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Experience with back-end API-first development (e.g. C#, ASP.Net Core) and substantial knowledge of modern web development frameworks and libraries, along with solid experience in cloud services like AWS, Fargate containers, Lambdas, SQS.
- Experience with Open API integration (Swagger, curl, Postman).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while embracing best practices in software development, including version control and documentation.
- Motivation and passion for leveraging technology to create innovative solutions that solve real-world problems and enhance user engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills that allow you to troubleshoot issues effectively and optimize application performance in a fast-paced environment.
- You master the principles of DevOps, utilizing tools like Azure DevOps for CI/CD, ADO, build and release scripts, Terraform and Jenkins scripting for infrastructure as code to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
