About The Role As an Engineer Business‑Aligned Applications you will be a member of the Development Chapter within the Asset Management Tribe, reporting to the Development Chapter Lead and working as part of a cross‑functional team. This role blends software engineering with analytical thinking and problem‑solving, supporting rapid solution delivery for investment professionals, analysts, and operational teams. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain business‑aligned applications and services that support investment operations. Build and support data integration and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Power Platform. Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to deliver rapid, fit‑for‑purpose solutions in an Agile environment. Develop lightweight applications, scripts, and dashboards using Python, Power BI, and other low‑code/no‑code tools. Design and implement API integrations and data workflows to enable seamless connectivity across systems. Support data analysis and reporting initiatives by building queries, visualisations, and automation pipelines. Apply engineering best practices, including test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding standards. Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and collaborative problem‑solving. Explore and apply AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve engineering efficiency. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery and iterative improvement of our platforms. Ensure solutions are well‑documented, observable, and production‑ready with appropriate logging and monitoring. Drive continuous improvement in development tools, processes, and team ways of working.

You should be comfortable working across a broad technology stack, balancing hands‑on development with analytical thinking, and adapting quickly to changing priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in Asset Management or Finance Technology. Problem‑solving ability. Flexibility across technologies and a drive to learn about the business and future technology. Strong understanding of DevOps tooling and code deployment. Solid foundation in SQL and T‑SQL. Proven software development experience with a focus on delivering business‑aligned solutions. An innovative approach to solutions and technology.
