Overview

Ncounter Technology Recruitment is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a high-performing technology team. This is a London-based role with hybrid working (three days per week in the central London office). You will work with a development-in-test model, collaborating closely with engineers to ship reliable, well-tested features at pace. The team covers React and C#, and values collaboration and strong culture of learning.

Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 base plus discretionary bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Design, extend and maintain modern automation frameworks
• Develop reliable UI and integration tests with Playwright or Selenium
• Collaborate with engineers to improve testability and overall code quality
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Support delivery of key projects across the web portfolio

Must-have skills

• Strong coding skills in C# or TypeScript
• Experience with at least one framework: Playwright or Selenium
• Ability to read and work with full-stack code (React / C#)
• Understanding of automation within a developer-in-test environment

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to cloud environments

Interview process

The interview process is structured and efficient: an initial 30-minute call with engineers, a focused take-home task in C# or TypeScript, then an onsite session with senior engineers and stakeholders.
