We're currently partnered with a leading global streaming business seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join their Technical Development Team. This is a great opportunity to join a company that’s innovative, collaborative, and globally impactful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Java and .NET development teams, driving the on-time delivery of key objectives.
  • Stay hands-on when required, diving into code to troubleshoot issues or guide development efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, actively contributing to and constructively challenging technical design decisions.
  • Champion the adoption of SAFe practices, ensuring teams are confident, equipped, and supported throughout the transition.
  • Deliver presentations to wider audiences, clearly communicating strategies, updates, and outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager, with a strong background in architecting, developing, and delivering software products and services.
  • Skilled in working within Java and/or .NET environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in modern development practices and cloud-based solutions, particularly within Azure.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies including Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban, with knowledge of Scaled Agile considered a plus.
  • Established track record in technical leadership and successfully managing software engineering teams.
  • Experience collaborating with external partners and promoting best practices across teams.
  • Strong ability in resource planning and task management.
  • Committed to fostering a positive, generative culture by promoting psychological safety and collaboration.
