Overview

Wallarm is the API security leader offering unified API Security and WAAP (Next-Gen WAF) capabilities to protect API and web applications across multi-cloud and cloud-native environments. The role of Solutions Architect is aligned with Customer Engineering and involves defining success, working closely with Account Executives, Sales Engineers and Customer Success to support pre- and post-sales activities. You will be a trusted technical advisor to a range of customers from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises within a specified region, and serve as a subject matter expert for the Sales team.

About the role

A Solutions Architect designs, implements, and supports solutions to meet clients\' needs, bridging technology and customer requirements as part of Customer Engineering. You will help customers and partners understand Wallarm benefits, explain technical features, and resolve potential roadblocks. The role requires excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills and prior experience with application security and microservices architectures.

What you will do

  • Partner with account executives and sales engineers to identify and qualify business opportunities, address key customer technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve blockers
  • Own the technical relationship with Wallarm\'s customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinating additional technical resources
  • Deliver demos to customers and work hands-on to demonstrate Wallarm\'s value in customer/partner environments
  • Manage the end-to-end process for customer proof-of-values (POV) and ensure success criteria are met
  • Recommend API security best practices, architectures, platforms, and infrastructure required for a complete API security solution based on Wallarm
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay customer feedback and drive satisfaction and innovation
  • Assist in creating technical documentation, implementation guides, and field enablement content
  • Contribute to RFPs, technical questionnaires, and security reviews
  • Train team members on technical aspects of the Wallarm product as needed
  • Travel as required

What you will need

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, NGINX, and cloud vendors
  • 3–7 years in a technical customer-facing role (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Security Consultant)
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Experience as a technical pre-sales engineer at a SaaS security vendor
  • Knowledge of the Application Security industry, products, vendor landscape, history, and trends; experience in API security, API management, SIEM, DevOps/DevSecOps, or web application firewalls is preferred
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience presenting to CISOs, architects, and technical staff
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with new technologies in cloud/IT space
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, with grit; able to communicate business and technical value to management
  • Excellent communication, persuasive, and listening skills
