Job Description
The Grant Thornton Digital Audit Team provides best‑in‑class digital products, services and skills to enable auditors of the future to set industry benchmarks. The Digital Audit Solutions Architect will design, develop and implement Digital Audit solutions, defining the architecture, creating solution designs and ensuring successful delivery of projects.
Open to all UK locations. Flexible work‑hours and part‑time considered.
A look into the role
- Develop and implement architectural strategies, governance, plans, and procedures to ensure high‑quality software delivery.
- Design and manage all solution architecture activities, including functional, non‑functional and integration aspects.
- Provide guidance and support to a team of developers.
- Collaborate with Development Teams and Product Owners to coordinate solution delivery.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation related to architectural activities.
- Align architectural activities with other lifecycle activities such as requirements analysis, design and implementation.
- Participate in daily progress meetings, presenting architectural improvements and developments.
- Manage tools development and configuration management activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced architect ready to shift from individual contributor to team leader or already leading architectural teams across the development or product lifecycle.
- Knowledge of low‑code platforms (e.g., PowerApps, Appian) and Python programming.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of architectural design techniques and best practices.
- Experience in solution planning, analysis, design and implementation.
- Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
