We are actively seeking a Sr. SAP Pre-Sales Solution Engineer for our Pre-Sales organization. The role will report directly to the Director, Global Pre-Sales, EMEA. The Sr. SAP Pre-Sales Solution Engineer can be based anywhere in the U.K. or France and may work from a remote office.

Position Summary

In this role, you will directly engage in sales opportunities, actively participate in customer meetings, and work closely with our Senior Account Executives to respond to our customers’ needs and challenges. You will also act as the primary conduit to the internal Delivery and Strategic Services teams. You will leverage your functional knowledge in Rimini Street products and articulate the strategy and direction for all supported products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Account Executives on sales opportunities globally.
  • Participate in customer meetings and respond to customer needs and challenges.
  • Work with Service Delivery and Product teams globally for pricing and delivery approvals.
  • Deliver compelling Rimini Street Services and Support presentations (remote and in person), address objections, and present to audiences from Application Managers and Developers to C‑level Executives.
  • Provide detailed scoping requirements for the supported services.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives in support of SAP product line growth and profitability.
  • Some travel outside your geography to support global initiatives.
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time to support sales deals in their territory.

Location

  • Remote – U.K or France.

Education

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience

  • 12 to 15 years’ experience in a Pre-Sales Engineering or Pre-Sales Solution Architect role within Applications/Technology/Database ecosystems.
  • Proven experience in a consultative selling environment within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Experience implementing or supporting complex ERP applications globally.
  • Experience supporting a team of Sales Reps during the sales cycle and contributing to the sales process to close deals.
  • Experience with full lifecycle software implementations.
  • Experience with lift-and-shift of applications and technology products to the public cloud.

Languages

  • Fluency in French is mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Mastery of SAP ERP software licensing rules, including matching service levels and repricing.
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP Applications, releases, schedules, and differences.
  • Working familiarity with a wide array of Applications and Technology products.
  • Understanding of software licensing issues and challenges.
  • Experience with application and database security and related industry standards.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and applications and database use in public cloud vs on‑premise.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) in English.
  • Ability to work independently as required by prospect needs.
  • Strong speaking skills for telephone, onsite, conference, or seminars.
  • Strong documentation skills (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM systems (SalesForce.com).
  • Experience with understanding and selling Managed Services.
  • Comfort with a “work from home” environment.
