Help Shape the Future of Citizens Advice
Are you a forward-thinking leader ready to drive real organisational change? Citizens Advice is looking for two exceptional Strategic People Partners to join our senior leadership team; a unique, high-impact role that places you at the very heart of business strategy and transformation.
This isn’t your typical HR role. As a Strategic People Partner, you’ll be embedded directly within the business, reporting to an Executive Director, and working in close collaboration with the Directors of People Services and Products and Organisation Design and Development. Your influence will stretch across workforce strategy, culture transformation, leadership development, and long-term capability building; all driving our mission to deliver for the communities we serve.
What you'll do:
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leaders, embedding people strategy into business planning.
- Lead workforce planning, talent management, and succession strategy for sustainable organisational growth.
- Drive culture change and inclusive leadership through insight-led, values-driven interventions.
- Use data and analytics to shape decisions that improve performance, engagement, and equity.
- Be a change leader, building resilience and future-ready capabilities across the organisation.
What we're looking for:
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience in senior strategic partnering.
- Proven success in organisational development, culture change, and transformation in complex environments.
- Sharp strategic thinking, outstanding influence at the exec level, and data-driven insight.
- Deep knowledge of talent strategy, workforce planning, and engagement.
- Strong communication and coaching skills — and a passion for equity, diversity and inclusion.
Why Citizens Advice?
Join a respected, mission-driven organisation where people and purpose align. You'll be part of a dynamic leadership team shaping the future of one of the UK's most impactful charities. If you’re looking to lead meaningful change, this is the opportunity for you.
Apply now to transform the way we work and the lives of those we serve.
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is of strategic importance within the organisation and recognised as integral to all we do as a service.
We’re a flexible employer, so this role may suit anyone who’d prefer a flexible arrangement to help their work/life balance, many of our colleagues spend most of their time working remotely. Whilst we prefer a blended approach between a local office, if one is near you, and home we’re open to being flexible on location, occasionally a role may require you to be based in a certain location if that's the case it will be detailed in the advert or job description. This can be discussed in more detail during your interview.
The National Citizens Advice operates from offices in England and Wales, with 4 regional offices based in Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Leeds, therefore all successful applicants must be based within England or Wales.
Please be aware that Citizens Advice is not a sponsoring organisation. Therefore the successful applicant must already possess the right to work in the UK or be able to secure the right to work in the UK independently.
We have been awarded the top charity in Third sectors' employer index, where it's recognised that Citizens Advice is an organization that not only prioritizes the people we serve but also values the wellbeing of its employees.
