Your role
As a Strategic PMO Lead, your mission is to lead the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring the successful delivery of projects across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in managing complex global projects.
The divisional Project Management Office (PMO) is the engine of transformation, driving efficiency, scalability, and excellence across our division. As a strategic enabler of the Division’s Operations strategy, it ensures that every initiative aligns with the strategic objectives, turning vision into operational reality and creating tangible results. You will report to Dominic Maleike, Head of Operational Excellence.
You will
- Lead and standardize PMO practices across operations, ensuring consistent project governance, risk management, and alignment with business strategy.
- Oversee strategic initiative execution, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and realization of business benefits (SQDCPE).
- Drive stakeholder engagement through clear reporting, executive-level communication, and collaboration across global teams.
- Develop and lead the PMO team, building capability, managing performance, and ensuring succession planning.
- Promote continuous improvement, leveraging best practices and technology to enhance project outcomes and operational excellence.
To succeed, you will need
- Proven experience in complex manufacturing projects:
- 5+ years leading large-scale programs, especially in business transformation, continuous improvement, or product transfer.
- Strong project management expertise:
- Skilled in risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and use of project management tools/methodologies.
- Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement:
- Strong verbal and written English; ability to influence and negotiate at all levels, including executive.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills:
- Able to assess complex requirements, identify key phases/workstreams, and develop practical solutions.
- Leadership and team/third-party management:
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage third-party service providers to deliver results and value.
