Multiple brand-new opportunities have arisen with a prestigious professional services firm undergoing major transformation within their procurement function. As a result, this industry powerhouse seeks several strong Indirect Strategic Procurement & Sourcing hires to take ownership across broad indirect spend areas. These roles will play a pivotal part in shaping strategy, driving innovation, and delivering measurable business impact throughout indirects.
This isn't a function that simply "buys things", procurement here sits at the heart of strategic influence, digital transformation, and sustainability. You'll be empowered to move beyond cost savings and deliver real business value, leveraging cutting-edge tools (across AI & automation) while driving ESG best practice across the supply base. Procurement is viewed as a true change agent, with strong stakeholder visibility and a mandate to shape the future of the organisation.
From collaborating with suppliers on innovative, sustainable solutions to embedding robust ethical standards and supporting local regions, this is a team that delivers impact far beyond the bottom line. You'll also benefit from cross-functional exposure, career progression opportunities, and the chance to play a key role in a high-profile transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing and category strategies across a wide range of indirect spend areas.
- Build future category roadmaps using market insight, data, and stakeholder demand.
- Drive cost optimisation, risk management, and supplier innovation.
- Negotiate complex supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and high performance.
- Act as a trusted procurement partner, influencing senior stakeholders to deliver results.
Required Experience:
- Circa 5+ years' procurement / category management experience across indirect spend.
- Strong track record of leading sourcing projects, contract management, and negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to challenge and influence senior leaders.
- Broad indirect procurement experience - generalist category knowledge welcomed.
- SME within an area of indirect procurement would be useful.
This is a career-defining opportunity within a high-profile organisation where procurement is seen as a value driver, not just a cost controller. If you're an ambitious Senior Buyer, Category Manager, Sourcing Manager, or Procurement Manager looking to join a forward-thinking, purpose-driven procurement function, this could be your perfect next step.
