What You’ll Do
- Develop evidence-based policy and product proposals to support SME access to finance.
- Work closely with colleagues across economics, product teams, and external stakeholders including government officials.
- Contribute to briefings for senior leaders, including the CEO and Chair.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders through clear, inclusive communication.
- Support the delivery of our Banking Arm strategy, particularly through debt programmes and guarantees.
The Role
We’re looking for a Policy & Strategy Manager to join our supportive and collaborative Policy, Strategy & Economics team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Bank’s strategy and policies to improve access to finance for smaller businesses across the UK.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be especially valuable:
- Policy development or understanding of how public policy is made.

- Producing clear, evidence-based advice for senior decision-makers.
