We are looking for a dynamic Supplier Quality Engineer who embraces and thrives in the ever-changing landscape of our industry.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer with Cirrus Logic, you will work closely with local wafer fab and assembly suppliers to develop and implement world class supplier quality programs. This is a critical cross-functional role that will work closely with other Quality team members, Supply Chain, Assembly Engineering, Test/Product Engineering. You will be essential to driving the best quality into our suppliers' manufacturing of our products to ultimately satisfy our most challenging customers.
The position is located in Edinburgh, but responsibilities will span Europe with support into Asia.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end component quality, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to assure new product readiness and ensure performance meets the key quality and reliability metrics.
- Lead multi-functional teams and work closely with suppliers for understanding of exposure, risk, containment, root cause and corrective actions in a timely manner when excursions happen.
- Work with the suppliers to develop, track and report progress for their continuous improvement plans, including Key Performance Indicators and quarterly scorecards.
- Lead annual and spot continuously review and formally lead audits of supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Materials Science discipline and relevant, demonstrable experience in fab, assembly or supplier quality engineering.
- Expertise in managing semiconductor suppliers, including upper management, to include large scale technical and operational environments.
- Expertise in effective technical problem solving.
- Knowledge of supplier quality standards, policies and procedures, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC.
- Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal).
- Capability for off-hours phone conferences with team members from around the world.
- Capability for short notice travel (rare).
- Capability to independently manage responsibilities with general oversight and strategic direction.
- Experience making decisions in a dynamic, often changing and high-volume production environment.
This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
