Job Title: Supplier Relationship Executive

Location: Leicester or Bexhill (Hybrid) – one day a week in the office preferred

Role Overview

In this role, you will work across suppliers in your specific category to deliver projects and manage key suppliers, contract risk, and adherence. You will help drive innovation and improved value from suppliers. You will develop and deliver ambitious plans in partnership with Supplier Relationship Managers, proactively identifying and prioritising opportunities, driving business engagement and researching the latest developments and innovations within your category.

Job Details – Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Supplier Relationship Manager team to align strategic objectives and contribute to the strategic roadmap.
  • Ensure supplier meetings are conducted according to the supplier framework: define agenda, chair meetings, take minutes and capture follow‑up actions.
  • Support operational and commercial teams with activities that improve outcomes for Hastings and suppliers.
  • Highlight and log supplier risks and ensure actions address them, preventing future issues and maintaining internal governance.
  • Monitor regulatory adherence and internal quality standards to meet customer and supplier expectations.
  • Support the wider Supplier Relationship Manager team with activities, initiatives, and projects as required.

Essential skills/experience

  • Good knowledge of motor claims handling processes and supplier contractual obligations.
  • Strong communication skills, internal and external, and the ability to promote a strong culture for the SRM team.
  • Understanding of complaints procedures and governance/assurance controls.
