Hybrid- MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol with frequent travel to Andover

Fixed Term- 19 month contract

£45,000- £50,000 per annum plus benefits

Start date: May 2025

Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team on a hybrid basis to manage our supply chain partners (SCPs).

Within this role you will manage the performance and contractual obligations of our SCPs and other suppliers working closely with the Commercial Lead and other members of the Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS) Senior Leadership Team to develop and nurture excellent relationships with our SCPs and the MoD.

The role will be responsible for ensuring all SCPs target performance levels are achieved and contractual requirements are delivered, while identifying and delivering continuous improvement through our SCPs and identifying potential subcontractors who have the desire and capability to deliver services for AFRS including SMEs and wider supply chain delivering against the AFRS Social Value commitments, utilising Serco’s Expressions of Interest (EOI) portal.

Furthermore, this post will oversee and manage a caseload of potential sub-contractor providers and support them in completing the necessary Serco due diligence and compliance checks in a timely fashion.

At Serco, we are proud to partner with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) in providing critical recruitment services for the UK’s Armed Forces. This new approach will, for the first time, see the Royal Navy, the British Army, and the Royal Air Force have a joint Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS). Delivered through a partnership of the MOD, Serco, and our consortium of partners, this service will provide end-to-end support from candidate attraction to assessment, onboarding, and preparation for attending Phase 1 training. Our team brings together best-in-class integrated technology and specialist partners to offer a holistic recruitment and skills solution for the UK Armed Forces, designed to modernise and improve the overall candidate experience. We are driven by the values of doing the right thing for our people, the MOD, His Majesty’s Government (HMG), broader society, and the candidates we source.

Serco actively encourages applications from veterans, military spouses, and reservists.
