Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert – CPG / FMCG

London – Hybrid Working

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in the CPG or FMCG industry to support strategic initiatives and drive operational excellence across supply chain functions. This is a key role focused on enhancing efficiency, streamlining operations, and increasing productivity for our clients in consumer-driven industries.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, business leaders, and technical experts to identify improvement opportunities and implement best-in-class supply chain strategies that deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the domain expert in supply chain operations for CPG and FMCG, advising on trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with technical experts to design and implement solutions that improve efficiency and productivity across the supply chain.
• Support digital transformation initiatives including the adoption of AI/ML, automation, and cloud technologies in supply chain workflows.
• Contribute to business development efforts through strategic input, client presentations, and industry-specific insights.
• Provide guidance on category management, logistics optimization, demand forecasting, and route-to-market strategies.
• Analyse market and operational data to support go-to-market strategies and performance improvement plans.
• Translate complex supply chain requirements into actionable solutions aligned with customer goals.
• Develop knowledge assets such as whitepapers, webinars, and internal training focused on supply chain innovation.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in CPG or FMCG supply chain roles, with expertise in one or more of: logistics, procurement, demand planning, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes in high-volume, fast-moving industries.
• Experience with platforms such as SAP SCM, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or e-commerce analytics tools.
• Ability to work closely with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable supply chain solutions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
