We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Sustainability and Environmental Trainer & Consultant to deliver high-impact training, lead carbon and waste assessments, and to help businesses and individuals gain the knowledge and confidence to take meaningful steps towards a greener future.
You will play a key part in our growth, supporting our expansion from Scotland into wider UK regions, and helping build capacity within the team over time. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with a blend of training, consultancy, and stakeholder engagement.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering accredited and bespoke training in sustainability, net zero, circular economy, and carbon literacy
- Conducting carbon footprint assessments (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), life-cycle assessments, and waste audits
- Supporting clients with sustainability integration, behaviour change, and environmental frameworks (e.g. ISO 14001, GRI, CDP, BREEAM)
- Creating engaging learning resources for adult learners across in-person, virtual, and blended formats
- Building strong client relationships and contribute to new business and funding opportunities
- Mentoring learners through qualifications, including SCQF and IEMA-accredited awards
- Collaborating with colleagues on bids, quality assurance, and continuous professional development
Essential
- Proven experience delivering training and consultancy in the environmental or sustainability sectors
- Hands-on expertise in carbon accounting and environmental impact reporting
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
- A collaborative and learner-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and the confidence to work independently
- IEMA Practitioner or on the path to Chartered Environmentalist status
- Teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. A1, PTLLS, L&D9DI)
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and UK climate policy
- Degree or professional qualification in environmental science, sustainability, or related field
- Help drive the green skills transition across the UK
