Job description

The role offers flexible working but does require engineers on site for 3 days per week at a secure site where SC clearance is needed. We have a fantastic opportunity with a leading defence client for Systems Design Engineers. The Systems Design team is critical to product development, transforming customer requirements into system architectures and requirements. The role covers most of the Systems Engineering V model, from requirements negotiation to verification and validation. You will gain detailed design understanding and collaborate with capable teams across development activities. The Systems Design Engineer will contribute to developing advanced technologies.

Skills and Experience:

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or relevant defence industry experience.
• Experience with requirements management, functional and physical architecture using SysML, ARCADIA, or MBSE tools.
• Ability to dissect customer requirements into subsystem requirements and architectures.
• Consistent delivery within deadlines.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in defence sector.
• Experience with tools like DOORS, Rhapsody, Capella.
• Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave, radar, control systems, digital signal processing.
