Overview
Team Leader - Integrated Environment Planning (IEP) for Herts and North London Area. Leads a team of specialists delivering environmental improvements for water quality, water resources and river catchments, with emphasis on collaborating with water companies on investment programmes and holding them to account through our National Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the IEP team, balancing workloads to prioritise activities with the greatest environmental benefit.
- Oversee budgets, work planning and recruitment; adapt to changing priorities.
- Support team development, identify training needs and promote health, safety and wellbeing.
- Act as a role model for inclusion and a supportive, engaging workplace.
- Take an active role in the Environment Agency’s Incident response; be available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support. May attract additional payment and training; alternative working arrangements available.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to facilitate integrated actions and deliver environmental outcomes.

Additional Information
This permanent role is based in the Herts and North London Area’s Alchemy Office, which is fully accessible. Some travel to other offices/locations may be required. Flexible working patterns are supported, including job share; hybrid working combines home and office, with attendance required for certain meetings.
