NOTE: This person can be remote in The Netherlands, United Kingdom, or Germany but must be open to regional travel as required for onsite customer visits.
What you will do
- Work with strategic and enterprise ClickHouse users, customers, and prospects identified by ClickHouse Sales on onboarding, production launches, and proofs of concept (POCs).
- Provide architectural, technical, and migration guidance and assistance.
- Lead projects, escalations, and meetings to enable ongoing user/customer success.
- Own and oversee L3 Support Cases and Escalations, collaborating with the L1/L2 Support teams.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to help develop the roadmap and account plans.
- Be available according to scheduling and onsite travel requirements to deliver high-quality 24x7 support in a global environment.
- Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members.
- Develop and maintain Docs, Knowledge Base articles, ClickHouse Learning resources, Reference Architecture, and QA needs.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Professional Services, Senior Support, or Project Management roles.
- 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant distributed DBMSs.
- Technical breadth in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, System/Network Administration, and big data.
- Experience leading and delivering large-scale technical projects with multiple engineers.
- Expertise with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaaS offerings (e.g., EC2).
- Excellent communication skills for a customer-facing role and collaboration with Support Services, Engineering, and Sales.
- A teamwork mindset with global engagement, empathy, and problem-solving.
- A sense of adventure and urgency in building scalable, high-performing databases.
- Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn and grow.
Compensation
For roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range is as listed above. In locations such as Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Seattle, WA; and New York City Metro Area, a premium market range may apply. Salaries reflect minimum and maximum pay at the time of posting and may be higher or lower in practice; ranges may be adjusted in the future.
An individual’s placement within the range depends on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.
