About the Team Hiring

You will be working with a great team of services staff both in the UK, EMEA and globally on the topic of Digitalisation of Platforms and Processes in the Construction Industry. Having the ability to pull upon the expertise of very highly knowledgeable people is a huge benefit, and will help you firstly settle into your role, but more importantly help you with your personal development.

Overview

The position of the Technical Consultant is a services role that covers several areas within the business. These include participating in projects, post-sales and presales. The Technical Consultant participates in configuring documentation platforms in all its technical and functional aspects, migrating data and files, ensuring consistency, training the client and handing over the project.

Key Responsibilities

Consulting and Project Services Including:

  • Working with sales team and customer in developing customer implementation plan and helping customers adopt the new technologies for Common Data Environments and Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Implementing software such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and Filesync to customers
  • Project Management of its own tasks within large implementations from handover to closeout
  • Run design and pre-implementation workshops
  • Plan, run and test data migratiokn and definition workshops
  • Working with the project maangement to run project closeout meetings
  • Working with the customer on high level project-based consultancy
  • Developing supporting documentation including Data Standards & Post implementation documents

Pre-Sales Support Including:

  • Advising clients on issues relating to the choice and use of appropriate software, including specification of appropriate system platforms.
  • Providing practical demonstrations of the use of CDE and BIM software related to client needs
  • Delivering presentations on CDE and BIM software at customer meetings and events
  • Providing technical assistance to sales staff during the pre-sales stage of client negotiations

Post-Sales Support Including:

  • Advising clients on technical issues relating to the implementation and use of their design software
  • Liaising with suppliers where necessary to research and identify solutions to client issues Training Services Including:
  • Delivering Autodesk and Graite IP (such as Filesync) o clients in-house or on-site
  • Preparing and delivering Bespoke Training Courses to clients in-house or on-site
  • Conducting post-Training Course customer reviews
  • Assisting with Training administration duties e.g., Customer Evaluations, Courseware, Training Certificates

General Company Duties Including:

  • Researching and providing technical advice to company management on new product opportunities
  • Assisting the Sales and Marketing staff with business development matters
  • Working with the R&D team – regular feedback on the Graitec products

Key Success Indicators:

  • Collaborate and work efficiently with sales team to help drive awareness and promote Autodesk Construction Cloud and Filesync
  • Help win new business through demonstrations / prospect discussions
  • Nurture current customers with the aim to ensure brand fidelity and business continuity (through new licenses, renewals, or projects)
  • Ensure accurate data is entered into our Microsoft Dynamics CRM system when dealing on support cases
  • Contribute to marketing activity (creating social media or technical blog posts - validated by Marketing as per corporate guidelines)
  • Active participation and contribution into our global EMEA Services community
  • Work with your direct manager to help improve processes and documentation

Responsibilities

What you must have done already:

  • Experience in Document Management Systems (Sharepoint, Documentum, Autodesk Docs, or any other), in special those supporting high volumes and complex projects
  • Experience in File and Data Migration
  • Experience with cloud deployments of Document Management Systems
  • A technology/IT consulting background

What is nice to have done already:

  • A good understanding of the ‘BIM’ process in the built environment is a plus
  • A good understanding of the construction industry is a plus o Worked in a BIM manager role or assisted in one.
  • An appreciation for other disciplines, and how they work collaboratively on projects
  • An understanding of CDE’s
  • An additional European Language beyond English

Qualifications

  • A recognized experience in Document Management Systems
  • A full driving license as this role will require travelling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including face-to-face, telephone and written communication skills
  • Professionalism, personal integrity, and reliability
  • A positive ‘hands-on’ work ethic
  • Initiative and enthusiasm guided by mature sense of judgement
  • An adaptable and flexible team player
