Your new role, what’s involved
As a Technical Director, you’ll typically work on a variety of projects at once, from a University in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international projects. The goal is to enable innovative architectural design without compromising on the fire safety of the building.
- Run through design information and liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures
- Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service
- Help inform the design team about changes to increase the safety of the building
- Be guided through a variation of software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start
- Contribute to professional registration support via IFE and other professional organisations
Qualifications and experience
- BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry
- This role can be based from any of our UK major offices
