Overview
Marvel FMCG - Certified B Corporation is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to lead key accounts and drive new business opportunities for a UK-based B2B ingredients business. Salary: up to £70,000 + bonus and car or car allowance.
Ways of working: Home-based role with UK-wide travel to customers and occasional team meetings (monthly or as needed).
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of retail and manufacturing customers, delivering against commercial targets.
- Lead customer trials, NPD projects, and day-to-day account management.
- Engage with buyers in meetings; collaborate with internal functions (NPD, Technical, Ops, Supply Chain) to deliver tailored customer solutions.
- Attend trade shows, retail exhibitions, and customer events to represent the brand and identify market opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing sales or technical account management.
- Experience in a B2B sales role.
- Understanding of the food industry; technical food experience is valuable, with training provided.
- Strong commercial awareness including margin, pricing, and contract negotiation.
- Great relationship builder; credible, proactive, and confident with buyers and technical contacts.
- Willingness to travel and be hands-on with customers and internal stakeholders.
