Position Overview
This role provides strategic leadership and operational excellence for all electrical, mechanical, structural, fire, and life safety systems within our facilities.
The successful candidate will drive operational efficiency, team development, and client satisfaction while ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Client Relations:
Serve as primary technical liaison between engineering teams and data centre clients
Build and maintain strategic relationships with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders
Lead initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and service delivery excellence
Systems Management & Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for existing and new building systems
Create detailed job plans and asset management protocols for optimal system performance
Oversee operations, maintenance, and capital improvements for Life Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Security, and Elevator systems
Develop strategic preventive maintenance plans and system improvement initiatives
Technical Operations:
Collaborate with Reliability Engineers and System Owners to optimise preventive maintenance scheduling and CMMS system efficiency
Analyze equipment performance data and develop Emergency Response Action Plans (ERAP) for potential system failures
Manage system upgrades and enhancements across Fire Systems, Utilities, and other critical infrastructure
Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop engineering and maintenance staff to expand technical capabilities
Oversee training programmes to enhance team skills and operational knowledge
Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and professional growth
Required Qualifications
5‑8 years of facilities engineering and operations experience in mission‑critical environments
Professional qualification or certification in electrical, mechanical, or building systems engineering
Strong technical knowledge of building systems, data centres, UPS systems, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
Experience in testing and commissioning of new facilities
Proven experience managing Dual Loop Power (DLP) programs
Business & Communication Skills
Business acumen with demonstrated financial planning and budget management capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
Strong presentation, team management, and project management abilities
Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across all organisational levels
