About the role:
As part of the EV Team, the Technical Surveyor will;
- Be responsible for the surveying and engineering aspects of the costing, proposal, and implementation of all EV projects, working in conjunction with internal Drax teams, external partners, DNOs, TPIs, and customers.
- Interpret customer specifications and requirements leading to detailed functional design specifications.
- Review and select accurate technology solutions for implementation.
- Carry out technical site surveys to ensure accurate design and pricing of EV installations, ensuring each installation is optimized for cost and efficiency for the client.
- Ensure compliance with all standards, policies, and environmental plans according to relevant legislation.
- Think beyond the core electrical discipline, integrating multidisciplinary approaches into coordinated solutions.
Who we’re looking for:
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have…
- Experience in installation, design, or maintenance of EV charging equipment.
- Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and advise clients effectively.
- Experience working on LV and HV projects, including site survey, installation, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of ‘The Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation’ (IET Standards) and compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
