Technical Training Specialist

We are seeking a talented Technical Training Specialist (Employee Benefits) to join our Sales Enablement Team at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB). This role will be based in our London office ideally, although we will consider candidates in any of our UK locations. It is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

We aim to introduce and maintain a consistent approach to technical and industry‑regulated compliance training, ensuring all colleagues have the skills needed to deliver high‑quality service and advice to clients while meeting regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification of technical training needs in partnership with business stakeholders and align them with organizational objectives.
  • Understand current and future skill requirements and design targeted learning initiatives to close gaps and prepare staff for upcoming challenges.
  • Design and implement a technical learning framework, calendar, and library using best practices in adult learning and technology.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development across all client‑facing levels.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and SMEs to ensure learning initiatives are relevant, engaging, and integrated into the culture.
  • Utilise data and analytics to measure program effectiveness and drive improvements.

Qualifications

  • Graduation or post‑graduation in any field.
  • Experience in Learning & Development, designing and delivering training both face‑to‑face and remotely.
  • Experience in instructional design, learning solutions and frameworks, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Team‑orientated, able to build strong relationships with peers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑changing environment and meet deadlines.
