About the Role
JFR, a Product Line within JF Group’s Energy division, is seeking a Tender Manager to join the successful Commercial department. You will collaborate with various teams to achieve the Product Line's goals by preparing high-quality tenders, including cost estimates, execution methodology, terms and conditions, and risk analysis for rentals, services, and projects. Your responsibilities will include customer interaction, clarifications, tender updates, supporting contract negotiations, and more.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage bids from receipt of enquiry to submission and contract award.
- Ensure bids comply with customer requirements and follow the Tendering process.
- Identify bid elements requiring input from internal departments, define these contributions, request and manage their delivery and quality, and integrate into the final proposal.
- Understand all elements of the tender (operational, commercial, contractual) separately and how they interlink into the overall proposal. Lead or contribute to writing technical proposals with support from SMEs or the wider business when necessary.
- Manage bids through internal approval processes.
- Handle client queries, utilizing support from the wider organization.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to develop technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Contracts Managers to develop commercial solutions and ensure compliance.
- Provide robust bid estimates using the estimation cost model for internal approval.
- Work with Sales Managers to supply additional information as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date tender information in CRM and assist in future CRM development if required.
- Prepare successful bids for project handover.
- Lead Pre-Qualifications, coordinating with relevant departments to meet customer requirements.
- Support the Senior Tender Manager, Product Line Tender Lead, and Head of Tendering to ensure adherence to Bid Management Processes.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve the Tendering process, materials, tools, and related aspects.
About the Candidate
- Experience in Tendering, Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles within industries like Oil and Gas, Renewables, or Marine.
- Degree or HNC qualification in Business, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience in proposal/tender writing and pricing/estimation.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Energetic and passionate about your work.
