Test Engineer | Remote - UK Based | Permanent | £40,000 - £45,000

People Talent has partnered with a leading global management software communications supplier. We’re looking for a Test Engineer to join our new QA team and help improve the reliability and stability of our software. This role involves designing and producing manual testing, automated testing and test plans. You’ll be working with talented engineers on challenging tasks with scope for learning advanced techniques, growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual testing, automated testing and test plans as part of the QA team.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve the reliability and stability of software.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated ability to create, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation for testing procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Root Cause Analysis: ability to identify underlying causes and trace bugs to their source in the codebase or system architecture.

Nice to have experience

• Proficiency with virtual machines (VMs) setup, configuration, and management.
• Understanding of networking principles and protocols with ability to diagnose and troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Proficiency with command line interfaces across operating systems.
• Software version release management
• VM testing automation

You will be working with international customers. Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
