The team

The digital delivery team is crucial to our operations, bridging the gap between user needs and technological solutions. Part of the marketing, digital, and technology centre of excellence, we ensure our products are both innovative and user-centric. This dynamic team plays a pivotal role within Energy Saving Trust, working closely with our product teams to understand both business and user requirements. They transform these insights into innovative features that empower our users to become more energy efficient.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of establishing our quality assurance strategy. Your efforts will imbed and enforce quality governance frameworks, standards and best practice.

Our team thrives on collaboration and support. We value the unique skills and contributions of each team member, promoting an environment where creativity and teamwork are paramount. Here, your ideas are not just heard, they are celebrated and implemented.

The role

This role will establish and enforce robust quality governance frameworks, standards, and best practices, while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders across Product, Design, Engineering, Data & Analytics, and Delivery to ensure alignment with business goals. You’ll work hands-on with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance product quality, overseeing a range of testing activities including functional, regression, performance, automation, and usability testing. You’ll monitor and report on quality metrics, risk assessments, and release readiness to governance boards, and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards, analysing test results, and staying current with emerging tools and technologies will be key to success. We also value individuals who are committed to supporting our journey toward becoming a more diverse, inclusive, equitable, and sustainable organisation.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to faster issue resolution and better software quality by manually testing at least one feature or deliverable, identifying and reporting any defects

• Provide strong defect root cause analysis by analysing and documenting test failures, speeding up bug fixes and helping developers identify underlying issues

• Develop and launch an automation initiative targeting an agreed set of manual test cases in high-priority areas. Measure progress by tracking the number of automated tests added monthly

• Build strong Energy Saving Trust QA capability by mentoring team members and colleagues to improve overall testing capability across the organisation. Promote knowledge sharing and long-term consistency

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in software testing or quality assurance, including leading QA efforts across complex digital products or platforms

• Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks

• Deep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies and modern QA practices

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and present quality insights to senior Digital leadership
