Skills shortages in the IT sector drive the need for qualified, entry-level career seekers and career changers. You only need a desire to work hard and to invest time and money in yourself to build the foundations for a new career. We help you start your career in programming by ensuring you have the necessary industry-recognised certifications and skills, help you market yourself with a structured CV and LinkedIn profile, and assist in creating a credible portfolio to demonstrate your skills to potential employers. Our tutors will support you with 1-2-1 or group sessions and provide additional training.

We have many years of experience helping graduates find their first roles in top UK companies and organisations that need entry-level qualified programming staff who can hit the ground running with up-to-date skills gained from this programme. The programme is designed for individuals with none or limited experience who have a real desire to start a career. If you are already an experienced programmer, please do not apply. The package is flexible to fit full-time, part-time, or unemployment situations and can be completed in as little as a few weeks or a few months, depending on your study pace.

Study timings are approximate and assume a minimum of 5 hours per week. Training times may be reduced if you invest more time each week.

Stage 1 – Learn HTML and CSS

The first step includes completing a selection of professional and industry-recognised courses chosen to maximise learning and employability.

• HTML Essentials (up to 6 weeks)
• CSS Essentials (up to weeks)

Training is delivered through multimedia video tutorials, presentations and quizzes via an online portal. You will be assigned an expert tutor and a support mentor who will work with you 1-2-1 or in group sessions to provide training and support. After completion of HTML & CSS courses, you will progress to the next stage.

Stage 2 – Additional Online Training

The second stage includes more advanced courses to prepare you for entry-level programming roles and help you stay ahead.

• Learn the Command Line (1.5 weeks)
• Learn Git & GitHub (1.5 weeks)
• Learn JavaScript (1.5 weeks)
• Learn Python 3 (1.5 weeks)

JavaScript forms the foundation of modern web development. Python is widely used across industries for a range of tasks.

Stage 3 – Portfolio Website Project

Your tutor will provide exercises to help you build a personalised portfolio. A strong portfolio demonstrating your skills is essential for a programming career. Additional study courses for continued development are available and recommended.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Stage 4 – Entry Level Web Administrator Placement

We will work with you to secure your first role in a coding, programming, or web development position. Entry-level roles typically start between £25K - £40k, depending on prior knowledge or experience.
